From Stephen Curry to Kyle Korver, the NBA got real weird for Halloween

It’s Halloween, which means very large NBA players dressed in costumes for our entertainment.

Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns reaped 20 points and 12 rebounds in some pretty sweet “Friday the 13th”-inspired sneakers during a 125-122 overtime win against the Miami Heat:

Stephen Curry and LeBron James were scary as all hell dressing as Jigsaw and Pennywise, respectively. If they meet in a fourth straight NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers should dress in costume, just to spice it up. Although, this would be a frightening sight come down the lane:

LeBron threw his annual Halloween bash on Monday, and this time there were no reminders of Golden State’s blown 3-1 lead, but there was plenty of weirdness. Let’s run through the Cava-fears lineup:

• Cavs sharpshooter Kyle Korver was Willy Wonka, his wife Juliet Richardson was his golden ticket, and they may or may not have brought little people as Oompa Loompas to complete their costumes:

• Jae Crowder as Eddie Murphy’s’ Prince Hakeem from “Coming to America” is serious business:

• Channing Frye kept it real current with his “Blankman” costume:

• Kevin Love and girlfriend Kate Bock went as wrestlers Sting and Hollywood Hulk Hogan, while J.R. Smith and wife Jewel Harris showed up as the “Coneheads,” because the Cavs love their ’90s movies:

• Tristan Thompson and mother-to-be Khloe Kardashian may have won the “best couples costume” award for going as Khal Drogo and Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen from “Game of Thrones”:

But Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union were the real winners for throwing it back to Milli Vanilli:

And Isaiah Thomas as Eazy-E was the G.O.A.T. costume:

The Memphis Grizzlies’ party featured Mike Conley as Mario (which, c’mon, man: Mario Chalmers is right there), Chandler Parsons as a doctor (get it?), Brandan Wright as what appears to be Ash from “Pokemon,” Wayne Selden as Logan from “Get Out,” James Ennis as a character from “The Purge,” Ben McLemore as the dude from “Jeepers Creepers,” and a certain 7-foot Spaniard as Cousin Itt from “The Addams Family.” (Sweet topical reference, Marc.)

It appears that Grizzlies coach David Fizdale dressed as Indiana Jones for the festivities, which makes sense. Of course the coach would choose a classic costume; he is not about to let someone rook him.

Nick Young dressed as Dave Chappelle’s Prince, which is awesome. It would have been even moreso had LeBron not done this bit two years ago, but still: pretty great!

Chicago Bulls center Robin Lopez went as Louise from “Bob’s Burgers,” further cementing his credibility as the precise brand of comedy nerd for Internet basketball fans to latch onto:

Robin’s frontcourt buddy, rookie Lauri Markkanen, rocked a “Cat in the Hat” costume, but gets docked points for not painting his face. Harrison Barnes went the extra mile, Lauri. Why can’t you be more like Harrison Barnes?

John Wall hosted his “Walloween” party as Chucky from “Child’s Play,” complete with some gory makeup:

The star of the party, though, appears to have been Kelly Oubre Jr., who dressed as “like a Dalmatian/dead rock star.” Y’know. Obviously.

“We made it look good,” Oubre said. “That’s all I do, make stuff look good.” Hard to argue there.

Reserve Wizards point guard Tim Frazier is probably not super happy with Steph Curry right about now.

A pair of rookies took the court to play on Tuesday night in Joker-themed kicks. First up: Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox:

Not to be outdone, there was Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma:

The New York Knicks, fresh off their third straight win, also had some fun, with Kristaps Porzingis knocking one out of the park …

… and several other teammates holding their own:
