Given that Station 19 is the network's second highest-rated scripted series after Grey's, it was likely an easy decision to make. In season 4, the series, which follows the heroes of a Seattle Fire Department, touched on many important topics including the COVID-19 pandemic, sex trafficking and racial injustice. While we are certain the upcoming season will continue the storylines established in the last few months, many new ones are surely on the way as well.
Here's what we know so far about Station 19 season 5:
When will Station 19 season 5 start?
It's too early to say definitively when Station 19 season 5 will drop, especially since season 4 is still airing on ABC. Unfortunately, past seasons don't give us any indication either, since they've all been released in different months — season 1 in March, season 2 in October, season 3 in January and season 4 in November. Our best guess at the moment is that season 5 will come out sometime later this fall or in early 2022.
Who will be in the Station 19 season 5 cast?
While we can't say for sure who will be coming back next season, it's likely that Stefania Spampinato, who plays Carina DeLuca, will be a major part of the show in season 5. Plus, given the fact that Vic is really into Theo Ruiz (Carlos Miranda), there's a good chance we'll be seeing more of the lieutenant. At the moment, we also expect the following cast members to return:
Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andrea Herrera
Jason Winston George as Dr. Benjamin Warren
Okieriete Onaodowan as Dean Miller
Grey Damon as Jack Gibson
Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes
Danielle Savre as Maya Bishop
Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery
Boris Kodjoe as Robert Sullivan
We'll be sure to share more cast updates when we hear something!
How can I watch or stream the new season of Station 19?
Station 19 fans can expect to watch new episodes at 8 p.m. ET on ABC whenever season 5 begins. Just like in previous seasons, there will likely be frequent crossover events with Grey's Anatomy, which airs right afterwards at 9 p.m. ET on the same channel.
If you've got a laptop nearby, you can always watch the latest episode of Station 19 on ABC.com the morning after the episode airs. Otherwise, you can download the ABC app to select iOS, Android, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, and Google Chromecast devices. It's important to note that while the app and ABC website are free, there is some content that will require you to use your TV provider login info to watch.
