Starbucks' Gingerbread Latte Isn't Coming Back This Season

Just as the PSL is a harbinger for fall for Starbucks’ fans around the world, the return of the Gingerbread Latte marks the beginning of the holiday season.

This year, however, the fan-favorite drink won’t be on menus.

When the chain released its long-awaited holiday lineup this week, people quickly noted that the cookie-inspired beverage was absent from the list.

Needless to say, people aren’t happy.

Starbucks hasn’t commented yet on why the latte won’t be returning, but a representative did say that other seasonal favorites are back on the menu, including the Eggnog and Peppermint Mocha lattes.

One Twitter account, Barista Problems (@baristaproblem0), is offering up a solution for fans who can’t bear to go without a gingerbread-flavored drink from Starbucks this season:

“Order a regular latte and ask your barista to steam the PSL spice topping into the milk & put it on top of the foam,” according to the tweet. “It has ginger and other spices that will create a ‘mock’ gingerbread latte.”
