Starbucks Adds New Tropical Drinks And Chicken Breakfast Sandwich
If a vacation to the tropics isn't on your calendar, there's a refreshing solution to this problem that comes courtesy of Starbucks. On June 21 Starbucks introduced a handful of new menu items that are sure to brighten everyone's summer and transport you to an island oasis.
The chain's two new refreshers sound like absolute paradise: Pineapple Passionfruit and the Paradise Drink. The Paradise Drink features a coconut base with pineapple and passionfruit juices. The drink also includes real diced pineapple for extra razzle dazzle. The Pineapple Passionfruit is similar, but lacks coconut milk.
“The Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers beverage is like sunshine in a cup—the bright tropical flavors are radiant, happy and joyful. It’s the perfect summer sip for a little moment of escape wherever you are,” said Raegan Powell, a senior product developer from Starbucks R&D who led the creation of the new drink.
And if you're feeling hungry, Starbucks has you covered with a new bite guaranteed to satisfy your sweet and savory needs. The new Chicken, Maple Butter & Egg Sandwich is a hearty snack that might just become your new go-to for breakfast and lunch (and if we're being honest with ourselves, probably dinner). It features breaded white meat chicken and eggs with a maple syrup spread on an oat biscuit.
The chain has also recently launched more additions, including the Cookies & Cream Cake Pop and Lime-Frosted Coconut Bar. The latter is described as being "Moist and chewy with lime frosting and white chocolaty drizzle sprinkled with dried coconut."
