Ina Garten may know her way around a cosmo, a roast chicken and good vanilla, but there’s a first time for everything, even if you’re the Barefoot Contessa. Case in point: She’s never had a martini.

In the newest season of her cooking show, Be My Guest with Ina Garten, the 75-year-old cookbook author admits that she’s a martini newbie. Garten reveals her secret to her first guest, Stanley Tucci, who happens to be somewhat of an expert on the cocktail. (Remember when he famously broadcast his beverage skills on Instagram?)

In People’s exclusive sneak peek of the first episode, which premieres on Food Network on March 5, Garten says to Tucci, “Can I tell you a secret? I’ve never had a martini in my life...seriously, so this is my first.”

“Jeez, you gotta get out more,” Tucci jokingly responds before making her his version of a martini—not too dry and stirred, not shaken. (While the latter may be James Bond’s preference, he explains that this gives the drink a more delicate taste.)

“Kiss me goodnight!” Garten jokes before taking her first sip, but she’s pleasantly surprised to find that the drink isn’t as boozy as she expected (much to Tucci’s credit). They pair the cocktails with Ina’s oysters Rockefeller, naturally.

For the third season of Be My Guest, Ina Garten will continue to invite her friends (all celebs, NBD) to her house in East Hampton. This time around, expect to see faces like ballerina Misty Copeland, actress Laura Linney and musician Norah Jones.

We, however, are still waiting for our invite.
