Blues' Jordan Binnington proposes breakaway challenge to Justin Bieber

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington issued a public challenge to Justin Bieber with his hair colour on the line.

On one of Bieber’s recent Instagram posts — a video showing a goal he scored during a beer league game of his — the 26-year-old goaltender commented his bet.

“10 breakaways me vs you. You score one on me I’ll dye my hair platinum blonde,” commented Binnington.

Whether this shootout ever comes to fruition or not, it’s certainly a risky proposition if Bieber is able to demonstrate the same stick skills that he did in his original video.

With the 2020 NHL All-Star Game coming up at the end of the month — an event that will be hosted by the Blues and feature Binnington — the mid-season festivities might provide the best chance to see this matchup actually happen.

The sophomore netminder has a .921 save percentage and 2.39 goals against average through 29 appearances for St. Louis this season.
