As we delve into the third month of the new year, it’s safe to say that we finally have some good news: winter is almost over. Hallelujah.

As we anticipate allergy season and tax returns, the arrival of a new season also lets us leave the house decked head-to-toe in clothing made for warmer weather. T-shirts, lightweight jackets and eventually your favorite pair of men’s shorts are soon to grace our bodies, and we couldn’t be more pumped about it.

In addition to what we already own, spring hypes us fashion buffs up even further due to the bombardment of new spring collections to shop. And we’ve seen tons so far, from Todd Snyder’s collaboration with Harley Davidson to Alpha Industries’ spring drop with hip-hop artist 070 Shake.

It feels like this spring is the year of fashion collaborations. And, you know what? We’re totally here for it.

The spring fashion season already has a few notable collaborations, which range from totally unexpected to downright awkward. In particular, there are five recent collabs that should be on your radar this month.

Because collaborations tend to sell out incredibly quickly, you might have already missed the initial drop and will no longer be able to purchase some of the below items directly. That said, there are also sites such as StockX where price gougers will sell pieces from the drop at a steep hike if you really want something from these collaborations in your closet.

Regardless, these new collections are certainly important to know ahead of the spring season. See the latest fashion collaborations you need to know about below, from the newly revealed Gucci x adidas collection to Balenciaga’s latest adventures in fashion.

Nike x Supreme

Supreme may be losing some of its cachet, but an upcoming collaboration with Nike might be just the shot of adrenaline the brand needs. On March 3, Supreme will officially drop its latest team-up with Nike, which features three colorful takes on popular SB Dunk High sneakers.

The new Nike x Supreme trio is inspired by New York City, and all of the sneakers feature the script “By Any Means” in the iconic font of the New Yorker magazine. There are additional New York-inspired accents for any sneakerheads looking to rep the empire city.

If you want to order one of these shoes before they inevitably make their way to reseller sites, then head to Supreme at exactly 11:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, March 3.

Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga

Next we have to mention the Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga collection. We covered this line when it was released even though we knew it was destined to sell out in minutes, which it did. Shocker.

This collection feels classic Kanye, and it has a darker style that feels almost emo. It’s incredibly straightforward, a little bit awkward and truly not so exciting. Kanye goes a little more eclectically futuristic in his footwear but pulls back a lot when it comes to the rest of the body. Don’t get us wrong, this collection is dope, but it’s very “Kanye sells stuff at Gap”, if you catch our drift.

Like previous entries in the Yeezy x Gap line, the new looks incorporate a lot of ghoulish colors and oversized shapes. It oddly mimics his soon-to-be-ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s famous hooded Met Gala look from this past year, too which is… slightly weird, especially when you remember that Kardashian is now the “new face of Balenciaga.”

Suspicious? Maybe. Some fashion insiders are openly wondering if Ye and Kardashian have some sort of arrangement to have their divorce sponsored by Balenciaga, which we believe would be a true fashion first.

You can currently join the waitlist in anticipation of a refresh directly on the Yeezy Gap website or purchase pieces at a higher price through StockX below.

Gucci x adidas

It’s been rumored for months at this point, but with Gucci’s recent fashion show during Milan Fashion Week, we got our first real look at Gucci x adidas.

These two brands couldn’t be more different yet at the same time have so much in common. Athleisure is nothing new to Gucci and the world of high fashion as a whole, but high fashion isn’t exactly adidas’ consistent ballpark. Sure, they’ve had some extremely high fashion collabs in the past, but nothing like this.

Instead of presenting a full-throttle athleisure line, this collaboration features mainly suits, jackets and knits. It’s fully fashion-forward and places adidas outside of its comfort zone.

Throughout the collection, you’ll see lots of bright colors, patterns and of course, logos — something both Gucci and adidas are keen on putting front and center. The merging of the two logos goes together like fraternal twins. This collection weirdly makes so much sense, and we can’t wait until it’s available. Gucci still hasn’t said exactly when this is going to drop as of yet, but we expect the collaboration to launch sometime in the spring.

Balenciaga x Crocs

Since Balenciaga and Crocs’ last collaboration featuring high-heeled Crocs simply wasn’t enough to overturn society, the brands are back at it again with another collab that’s blowing our minds for a second time.

Yep, HardCrocs are here, and they’re a goth kid’s dream seaside shoe.

These rubber shoes feature Crocs’ go-to ugly-yet-cute aesthetic gone club kid, and if you can get your hands on them, they’re the ultimate fashion statement. They’re built with chunky platforms in addition to a number of nuts and bolts scattered throughout to make you look like less of a softie.

Each pair makes absolutely no sense visually, which sort of feels like the point. Like, what do you match these with? Not a damn clue, but we’re going to figure out a way.

Sizes are completely sold out in men’s but there are some women’s sizes left. In addition, once these puppies get shipped to buyers’ homes across the world, we’re assuming lots of pairs will eventually end up on sites like StockX.

Todd Snyder x Champion x Harley-Davidson

Todd Snyder is perhaps our favorite menswear designer of the moment, and his eponymous brand is always launching exciting new collaborations. In the past few years, we’ve written about Snyder’s team-ups with New Balance, Converse and L.L.Bean, to name a few. For 2022, Snyder has joined forces with another iconic American brand — Harley Davidson. But one collaborator wasn’t enough, and so Snyder also tapped Champion for the collection of motorcycle-inspired apparel. To be honest, it’s not our favorite release from Snyder in recent memory, but there are some gems in the collection.

The new line is out now and full of bold, black-and-white looks.
