A Spokesperson for the Sussexes Denies Report That Prince Harry Is Writing More Than One Book

Earlier this week, Prince Harry made headlines with an announcement that he is writing a literary memoir. Described as "intimate" and "heartfelt" by publisher Penguin Random House, the book will span Harry's entire life thus far, covering his childhood, his time in the military, and his experiences as a husband and father.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” Prince Harry said in a statement, which accompanied the announcement. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

Today, the Daily Mail published a report claiming that Prince Harry's publishing deal is actually for four books, including an additional memoir not to be published until after the Queen's death.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes denies the story, saying that contrary to false media reports, Prince Harry only has one memoir in the works. As previously announced, that book is scheduled to be published in late 2022. Additional details about the book have yet to be made public.
