With supply chain issues on the horizon, this year it’s key to get your holiday shopping done as early as possible. That includes tracking down this season’s hot toys for the kids in your life — you don’t want to drive yourself nuts constantly checking store shelves and site inventories to see when the gift they're wishing for is back in stock.
Right now, some of this holiday’s big-ticket items are still up for grabs, including Spin Master’s $60 Peek-a-Roo interactive panda. This adorable plush toy can sing, dance and give birth, and it’s now $12 cheaper on Amazon, bringing the price down to a wallet-friendly $48.
The past few years we’ve seen kids go crazy for cuddly toys they can take care of, along with toys that contain some kind of surprise when unboxed. Spin Master’s Hatchimals were the perfect combination of these two ideas, where a child would have to care for an egg to get it to hatch into an unknown creature.
The Peek-a-Roo takes this concept even further: Instead of taking care of an egg, kids are responsible for its mama — and if they care for it enough, a tiny panda emerges from the pouch of the toy's belly. What kind of baby? Well, that’s a surprise, but there are three different possibilities. After the baby is born it will continue to live in its mama’s pouch, coming out to play whenever its mom is in a good mood. This is a great toy for the kids in your life who love to show affection.
We loved the Peek-a-Roo when we first saw it back in February, and early user reviews have been positive, like this shopper, whose granddaughter loved it.
The mom panda is available in purple, though there’s also a rainbow version that’s exclusive to Amazon — that one looks to be out of stock but it’s worth keeping an eye out for. But we’d advise you to get one right now, since the holidays are coming up fast!
