Christina Aguilera is hard at work on not one but two albums, including her “overdue” Spanish-language LP.
JORDYN ROLLING: Christina Aguilera is hard at work on not one but two albums. The pop veteran is recording an English LP and a Spanish set, her second after 2000's "Pero Me Acuerdo De Tí," [? yielding ?] "Mi Reflejo," which peaked at number 27 on the Billboard 200 and ruled both the top Latin albums and Latin pop albums charts.
In a new interview for Health Magazine, Xtina, the daughter of an Ecuadorian father, said, I'm simultaneously working on my English record and the follow up to my debut Spanish album, about 20 years overdue. Adding, I am reinspired and have reconnected with myself. I've fallen in love with music all over again, which is a really big thing to say, having spent my entire career in music.
At this point, fans will take anything, period. Christina's last album was 2018's "Liberation," which scored the New York City born singer her seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200. That project gave us tracks like "Fall in Line," featuring Demi Lovato.
CHRISTINA AGUILERA: (SINGING) I wasn't made to fall in line.
JORDYN ROLLING: And "Accelerate," featuring Ty Dolla Sign and 2 Chainz.
CHRISTINA AGUILERA: (SINGING) Accellerate, accellerate. Come on, babe. Pick up your speed.
JORDYN ROLLING: And, while it's too early for release dates or titles, Xtina says her new works are all about honesty, explaining to Health, I've been approaching all of my writing sessions by being an open book and saying, look, this is how I felt.
