Netflix really loves to mess with us. Remember when it lured Stranger Things fans to a crop circle in rural Indiana, or freaked out bus passengers in Santa Monica with what seemed to be a living, breathing human being inside an Altered Carbon incubator? If you’re still suffering emotional damage from that one, come sit by me.

Now, Netflix is once again up to its old tricks. The streamer’s latest viral marketing stunt concerns Glass Onion, the starry sequel to Rian Johnson’s Oscar-nominated Knives Out. The film follows Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc through another twisty-turny whodunit, but this time, it’s set on a private island in the Aegean Sea, where eccentric tech billionaire Miles Bron invites his buddies for a week-long getaway. Breathtaking and extravagant, Bron’s multi-million dollar compound is a character in its own right. And now, it’s for sale on Zillow—or that’s what Netflix would like us to believe.

Priced at $450,000,000 (which may be a reference to the amount Netflix shelled out for the rights to Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3), “Glass Onion Greek Isle Commune: Multi-Layered Living in Paradise” is listed as a 29,000 square foot estate boasting 17 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms. Some of the property’s features are winky nods at the film, like the singular rooftop parking space, the “bespoke hourly time keeper,” and the “one-of-a-kind glass pier.” Other features, like the spa, wine cellar, and robotic butler, are textbook gazillionaire extravagance.

“This private commune is the perfect retreat for groups of friends, families and enemies alike,” the listing reads, “with the property boasting seven private studio villas—each inspired by a different chakra, six pools, a state of the art gym featuring on call private training sessions, lavish gardens and a multitude of entertaining spaces including a sunken living room and massive dining area perfect for hosting the most elaborate of murder mystery parties.”

You’d be forgiven for believing that the listing is real, but like any good mystery, a few key clues betray the truth. The property is listed by one-star realtor Derol Zablinski, who you may recognize from the film as the random fella knocking around the compound. It’s also off the market, meaning that you couldn’t buy it even if you had a cool $450,000,000 lying around. Real sleuths who’ve poked around for information about filming locations know that this property doesn’t even exist—Glass Onion was largely shot at the Amanzoe hotel in Port Heli, Greece, while interior scenes were shot on a soundstage in Belgrade, Serbia.

But it’s sure a beautiful fantasy, isn’t it? Call me when you get into the real estate game for real, Netflix—I’m ready to put in an offer on the Bridgerton estate.
