Sophie Turner Claps Back After Being Shamed for Wearing Socks With Sandals

From Harper's BAZAAR

  • Sophie Turner took to Twitter to call out a report about her footwear choices.

  • Earlier in the week, Page Six passed comment on Turner wearing socks with sandals, calling it a "fashion faux pas" and a "polarizing choice of footwear."

  • Turner clapped back on Twitter, explaining she was simply "giving my feet some much needed TLC."

Sophie Turner is going to wear whatever the hell she wants, thank you very much.

Responding to a Page Six report regarding the Game of Thrones star's decision to wear socks with sandals, Turner revealed that she's simply seeking comfort. Basically, just like the rest of us, when she's running errands, she's happiest in a pair of comfy socks and flat slides.

Anytime a person trials this trend, I'm instantly transported back to the late '90s when my most pressing consideration was whether the acoustic guitar playing youth group leader, who couldn't resist wearing white socks with his own velcro sandals, was cute or not. Yes, I wasted my teenage years.

Proving that she answers to no one, Turner wrote on Twitter, "Nah we’ve all been taking out the trash like this for years and you know it. I’m not trying to make anything happen other than giving my feet some much needed TLC."

It's undeniable that Turner's decision to wear socks with her sandals looked super comfy and might even have you reconsidering the once-frowned-upon trend. But regardless of how anyone else feels about it, Turner doesn't need any approval.
