Nothing says holiday like a Faberge egg! Designer Sophie Theallet took her inspiration from the decadent jeweled eggs made in the late 19th Century for the Russian Tsars, when it came time to design her second collection for Lane Bryant. The clothes, which range in price from $40 to $118, hit stores this week, and Theallet and Lane Bryant’s CEO Linda Heasley were on-hand at the brand’s Herald Square flagship to fete the occasion, mingling with clients who enjoyed macarons and champagne.

“The collection is very French, meant for the boudoir, but I also wanted it to be playful,” Theallet says of the nude and black lace pieces. The whimsy is evident in details like a chiffon strap that seductively falls off the shoulder, and a tiny black bow on the back of two-tone lace panties, which Theallet describes as “a little present for your partner.”

“Cacique is an amazing brand, and we wanted to elevate it into something even more amazing, and we knew Sophie would be the perfect designer,” Heasly said, “we wanted a fresh eye, and Sophie can design anything, which is why it’s so great.”

There are already plans to expand the collaboration but in the meantime, treat yourself with a little something from the collection, available in sizes 36C-44FGH for bras and 14/16 to 26/28 for panties and sleepwear.
