Sophie, Countess of Wessex, has arrived at this year's Trooping the Colour! Sophie was spotted in the carriage procession alongside her husband Prince Edward and their two children, James Viscount Severn and Lady Louise, wearing a pink checkered coat dress. She accessorized with a matching hat.

After the procession, Sophie made her way to the Buckingham Palace balcony, where she stood alongside the Queen, as well as her husband and children, and the other working royals for the flypast.

While in years past, the Buckingham Palace balcony has included upwards of 40 people, it was a much smaller group today.

"After careful consideration, The Queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen," a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told reporters last month during a briefing about the jubilee weekend.

Because of that decision, fans of the royals didn't see the Sussexes (or the Queen's other grandchildren including Zara Phillips, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Peter Philips, or more distant relatives like Princess Margaret's children or the Queen's non-working royals) on the Balcony today, though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle watched the celebrations from the Major General’s Office.

Today marks only the beginning of Platinum Jubilee events for the Wessexes. It's likely we'll see them again tomorrow at the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.
