This soldier is about to give his mom the best Thanksgiving surprise.
Private Second Class Brandon Moore snuck into his mother's workplace with flowers for an unexpected homecoming.
The two hadn't seen each other for a year.

Brandon says he stayed in touch with his mom through video chat but the distance took a toll on his mental well-being.
"It just took me to a different place where it was more isolated than anything," he said.
Being apart from loved ones can be difficult so Brandon decided to make the most of his homecoming tour.
He dropped by his younger brother and sister's school to surprise them as well and let them know the tight-knit family would be together for the holidays.
