Sofía Vergara gave her fans quite a fright this week after attending the first-ever Modern Family reunion.

The 51-year-old actress recently hosted all of her co-stars on the popular sitcom for a special reunion event, and everyone from the cast appeared to be in attendance—well, almost everyone.

Ty Burrell, the actor who played the fan-favorite character Phil Dunphy on the show, was noticeably missing from the photos shared on social media, so the group made sure to bring a photo of Burrell to make up for his absence.

But Vergara may have gone too far by trying to include Burrell, 56, in the evening, as some fans started to think her tribute to her absent friend made it seem like he was really gone, as in deceased.

"We miss u Ty!! !❤️❤️❤️," Vergara wrote under a video of Burrell's photo being propped up on her mantle, while the rest of the cast members expressed how much they love and miss him.

But upon first glance, fans thought Burrell had passed away, causing instant panic to her followers watching the clip.

"THIS MADE ME THINK HE WAS DEAD I PANICKED LMAO," one person wrote in the comments, while another user echoed "Omg I thought he wasn't with us anymore 😭."

"I had to check Google to make sure he didn’t die💀," someone else added.

Other fans urged Vergara to never post such an alarming post without any context again, including one commenter who wrote, "DONT YOU SCARE US LIKE THAt," and another begging, "Please never ever do this again. Thought he’s gone!!"

Aside from nearly giving her fans a heart attack, the night seemed to have gone swimmingly, with the other cast members, including Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Ariel Winter and more, all showing up to bring the gang back together.

"So lucky to have worked with [these] people for 11 years ❤️," Vergara wrote in the caption on one of her several Instagram posts from the special evening. "I love and miss u all guys!!! #modernfamily."
