'SNL' star's dramatic turn gets endorsement from his 'Kodachrome' costar, Ed Harris
Jason Sudeikis is one of the funniest people on the planet. From his decade-long tenure on "Saturday Night Live" and films like "Horrible Bosses" and "We're the Millers" that followed, he's made a name for himself as an affable straight man typically deployed in comedic fare. Yet in 2018, Sudeikis is trying something new on for size: lead in a dramatic movie. In "Kodachrome," Sudeikis plays son to Ed Harris. The two have been alienated for about a decade but embark on a road trip when it's learned Harris' character has a terminal illness. With four Oscar nominations, decades of critically-acclaimed performances under his belt, and an air that suggest he doesn't suffer fools, we wondered what Harris thought about his co-star. As it turns out, Harris thinks Sudeikis has the...right stuff. "I really loved working with Jason," Harris told Yahoo Entertainment. "We hadn't met before [making Kodachrome], but certainly I knew him from his work on SNL and a couple films, and we just hit it off. I love Jason, he's a cool guy. He's so smart and he's so funny and interested in so many things and he's a good family man. We got along great. I have a lot of admiration for him as an actor. He's a good listener, which I think is important in what we do. Vitally important."
