At 7:25 a.m.: Venus enters Cancer
In the morning, Venus enters Cancer, having spent just shy of a month transiting Gemini. Over the past few weeks, our social lives have been light and easygoing. Now, the emotional tenor changes! Over the next three weeks, superficiality is dissatisfying. We get in our feelings quickly, developing intense connections based on shared nostalgia, memories, or traditions. We’re more likely to choose partners and friends who “feel like home.” Perhaps they’ve come from a similar upbringing, familial structure, or religious background. There is a certain amount of self-explaining we are willing to do when we enter new relationships, but with Venus and Cancer involved, it’s as if we don’t need to do the heavy lifting. We are attracted to those who resonate with our lived experiences, those who we can settle into a comfortable rhythm with. We must feel secure opening our doors, and our hearts. A willingness to be vulnerable engenders deep devotion. However, in such a deep, emotional territory, we must be mindful of projections. Although others may have a shared history, they are not the same as us. We shouldn’t expect everyone to behave in the way we do. Besides, predictability is boring. So, avoid assuming you can calculate (or control!) how another will act when faced with similar triggers.
