Skier Doesn't Turn On Iconic In-Bounds Line

Secondhand adrenaline junkies, this one is for you.

Watch as skier Tuck Graham effortlessly laces a consequential straight line earlier this season at Big Sky, Montana.

Casual! But also not casual. This is the sort of line where you don't want to hook an edge and have a tumble. Mistakes, while probably non-fatal, would likely have painful consequences.

The line shown here is called the Tower Chute, located in the A-Z Chutes area at Big Sky. Its rough location is shown on the Big Sky trail map below.

It's been years since I skied Big Sky, so I was floored when I pulled up its trail map. This place is enormous. Tower Chute is one committing big mountain option among many, many others in the resort. The trail map above is only a small slice of the mountain's total acreage.

Big Sky's unfortunately closed up shop for the season since the shooting of this video. However, late-season options remain for Montana skiers still looking to get their fix. Beartooth Basin, located just over Montana's southern border in Wyoming, plans to open during Memorial Day weekend.

It's a serious drive from major towns like Butte, Missoula, and Bozeman, but I like to think we skiers don't mind a little road trip if it involves a few bonus days at the end of the season.
