Sixers parting ways with Trevelin Queen, roster now stands at 19

As the Philadelphia 76ers continue to navigate through the preseason and prepare for the 2022-23 season, they have to make tough decisions in order to get their roster down to the league limit.

The Sixers entered the preseason with 20 players, but they have to get to 15. They took a step toward that number on Sunday morning.

Per Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sixers will part ways with Trevelin Queen. Philadelphia brought in the 2022 G League MVP on a non-guaranteed deal in free agency, but he was not able to make a big impact on the team.

Unfortunately for Queen, he did not get much of a chance as he suffered a head injury in the preseason opener against the Brooklyn Nets. He did score four points and have two steals in five minutes off the bench in that game.

Queen has battled through adversity such as homelessness before. This is just a minor setback for him as he continues his NBA journey.
