Simone Ashley, one of countless celebrity fans of PP pink (the official Pantone name for the designer’s particular shade), continued to rep the Barbiecore trend at the premiere of The Little Mermaid this week.

The actor walked the red carpet in a look from Atelier Versace’s spring-summer 2023 collection: a lace-trim minidress stamped with the brand’s signature Medusa motifs on the straps and an asymmetric train. The cascading ruffles echoed the swishing mermaid tail she has in the film as one of Ariel’s sisters, Indira.

The former Glamour cover star enjoys experimenting on the red carpet, guided by her stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, and her latest hot pink look is among her most daring efforts. The silhouette was an adventurous departure from the form-fitting gowns she often gravitates toward—like the hooded 16Arlington dress she wore to the Fashion Awards, or the turquoise Nina Ricci dress she wore at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
