Simone Ashley accessorised her festive curly updo with a *very* nostalgic hair accessory

A wise woman – aka, my mum – once told me: not all things stay in the past (read: your digital footprint and those cringey 2006 Facebook posts). However, one thing that I'm *very* on board with coming back is the revival of the nostalgic Y2K hair accessory – snap clips, butterflies and glitter gems all receive a big Cosmo seal of approval.

And now, cementing the comeback of said throwback trends is none other than Simone Ashley. She is one, to name a few, of many celebrities who have been making 2002 beauty cool again.

To debut the primary school-esque look, Simone's go-to celebrity hairstylist, Halley Brisker took to Instagram with a close-up snap of the star. In the caption, Halley reveals that the curly updo was for a rom-com homage shoot with British Vogue.

Other than the obvious face card (cue all the fire emojis), what adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the hairstyle is those two blue snap clips. Very kitsch. It's giving year 4 vibes, but in the best way possible, ofc.

Ahhh to have no worries other than lunchtime's kiss and chase antics...

And not only that but also proving that she is a force to be reckoned with and one to note when on the hunt for festive hairspo, Simone has recently provided look after look (after look). Her rock 'n' roll waves as well as *that* fresh-out-the-shower lob and voluminous 90s blow out are some serves, to name a few.
