Titled “Once Upon a Time,” Silvia Tcherassi and Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi’s pre-fall collection was meant to riff on the idea of storytelling through clothes. “Each piece has a story to tell,” Espinosa Tcherassi explained over Zoom.

Aside from a few garments embroidered with the collection’s title, the Silvia Tcherassi collection mostly stuck to girly mix and match offerings with a focus on geometric shapes. A wave shape came in the form of curled horse-hair ruffles on the hems of cute frocks or as easy day-to-night monochromatic eyelet dresses. Elsewhere, abstract floral prints and stripes ran throughout.

Newness came via cardigans, which were introduced to the collection and offered in playful combinations. For instance, a half striped merino wool, half multicolor abstract floral silk rendition was paired with a beige linen pant and the brand’s stellar new cloud-like tube sandals, which tied all of the feminine looks together in a modern way. The mother-daughter duo explained their excitement for the versatility of the new shape for the collection, offering ease for full ready-to-wear looks or atop one of the brand’s swimsuits.
