Sia has made public that she underwent a facelift procedure, proudly displaying her results while out and about in New York City with her husband, Dan Bernard last week, as evidenced by paparazzi photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
At the fifth annual Daytime Beauty Awards last month, the “Chandelier” hitmaker, 47, presented an award to her esteemed physician, Dr. Ben Talei, where she raved about the “amazing” facelift he performed on her.
The Australian “Breathe Me” artist (who frequently takes to the stage with her face concealed beneath a wig) said: “I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about s—t.”
According to E!, she added, while on stage: “I got an amazing facelift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work — and not just for the pop stars of the world.”
Sia Opens Up About Her Recent Facelift Transformation
The timing of Sia's facelift remains ambiguous, however, her fans on the internet have been analyzing pictures of the "Unstoppable" crooner from the 2000s and 2010s, pointing out that her skin appears more elevated and glowing, despite it always being radiant.
During the October awards ceremony, Sia continued to commend her doctor and the surgery operation she underwent. "I was showing someone in the back my before-and-afters right before I came on," she said. "People go, 'You look nice.' I'm like, 'Dr. Ben Talei, facelift' for, like, anything you could ever want. I love him, I can't say enough good about him."
Fans on X (formerly Twitter) have expressed their gratefulness after Sia got candid and was open about the work she had done. "Sia being open about her experience is refreshing," one recently tweeted as another added: "I love herrr so much for this!" Someone else replied: "Sia's honesty is refreshing, and it's great to hear she's had a positive experience." One other chimed in: "and she’s absolutely stunning."
According to The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the procedure for a facelift usually involves a surgical incision at the temples, which extends around the ear and concludes in the lower scalp. In addition, the surgeon may reshape or move fat from the face, jowls, and neck. They will also reposition underlying tissue, with a focus on the deeper layers of the face and the muscles.
Following this, the skin will be lifted and draped over the new contours. Finally, any excess skin will be removed to achieve the desired outcome.
Sia is one of many celebrities who have been open about undergoing the procedure in recent years, as Kris Jenner and Marc Jacobs have gotten candid about their choices to get one too.
