The second remake of the 1974 film of the same name, this slasher film follows a group of sorority sisters in their last year of college. What they think this is going to be a holiday season filled with parties, boys, and a break from studying quickly turns into a desperate attempt to simply stay alive.

'Bad Moon' (1996)

There are few things better than a good old fashioned '90s horror film, and Bad Moon is just that. While it initially received negative reviews upon its release, its cult-film-like-feel makes it worth a watch now. Besides, who can really get enough of werewolf movies?

'Sleepaway Camp' (1983)

Released in 1983, this slasher film is probably best know for its surprising ending. The first of a four movie installment, Sleepaway Camp follows a young girl named Angela while she's away at her first summer camp. Though her introverted nature keeps her from getting to know the other campers, she soon finds out that being bullied is the least of her worries.

'Haunt' (2019)

Ready for a real slasher film that's guaranteed to make you squeal? Haunt follows a group of friends who visit a haunted house on Halloween night. 'Creepshow 2' (1987)

Serving as the follow-up to 1982's Creepshow, this sequel — based on horror comedy short stories by Stephen King — is just as good as its predecessor. Though only including three stories (in the original there were five), you'll still walk away feeling like you got a grisly three-for-one deal that was well worth your and money time.

'Dead & Buried (1981)

Widely known for its impressive special effects, Dead & Buried focuses on a small town riddled with murderous townspeople who take out their rage on unexpected tourists. As Sheriff Dan Gillis attempt to discover the reason behind the killings, he finds out that those who have died don't plan to stay that way.

When film archivist David suspects his wife of cheating, his life begins to take a turn for the worst. As he works to find out whether his suspicions are true, his stress is heightened as a work project proves that his current home was the setting for a brutal murder in 1902. After his adulterous wife's body is then found at the bottom of the canal, David quickly becomes obsessed with finding both her murderer and solving a series of 100-year old murders that took place in the areas of the canal and his home.

'Scare Me' (2020)

Looking for a comedic horror film to keep handy? Scare Me is a movie about a struggling actor looking to cure his writer's block. While isolating himself in a cabin to work on what he hopes to be his big break piece, he encounters a successful writer by the name of Fanny. Though the two don't get along initially, a storm forces them to spend an entire night together. The way the night ends, however, is scarier than any of the two could have even cooked up themselves.

'The Dark and the Wicked' (2020)

What do you get when you mix a sick elderly father, two distant siblings, and a mother's unexpected death? A creepy and and unsettling horror story that will give you chills long after you're done watching it. After their father's illness takes a turn for the worse, siblings Louise and Michael arrive back at their childhood farm to visit. While there, they are met with a string of terrifying encounters that lead to even more tragedy.

'A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night' (2014)

Touted as the first "Iranian vampire Western," A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night isn't as horrific as other films, but it's still worth a good watch. Set in an Iranian ghost-town, the film depicts the daily life of a young woman living her life as a vampire... and her chance encounter with a young man that will change her life.
