What Shows Are (& Aren’t) Returning to The CW? Here’s What We Know

First, it was NBC. Then it was Fox. And now, The CW is the latest network to release its fall 2021 schedule.

The CW just dropped a first glimpse at its upcoming television slate for the 2021-2022 season. Not only does the list reveal which shows are coming back and which are ending, but it also names the titles whose fate has yet to be determined. Dun dun dunnnn.

Several noteworthy shows are returning for more episodes, including All American, Charmed, Dynasty, The Flash, In the Dark, Kung Fu, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Stargirl and Superman & Lois. However, the same can’t be said about other popular titles—like Black Lightning and Supergirl—which aren’t getting renewed for another season. Burden of Truth and Trickster are also included on the departing list, but hey, it could be worse.

Unlike Fox and NBC (which are releasing new series), The CW doesn’t have anything lined up in terms of new content. That’s subject to change based on any upcoming announcements, so be on the lookout.

Did your favorites make the cut? And how many shows is the network getting rid of? Keep reading for details on The CW’s fall 2021 TV lineup.
