If you were in too much of a tryptophan-induced fog to forage for deals among stampeding Black Friday shoppers, had a bigger appetite than Small Business Saturday could satiate, or just couldn’t hack it on Cyber Monday, it's not too late to nab discounts on your holiday haul this year. In the countdown to this year's festivities, here are the days you should be shopping to save at your favorite retailers:

Target

This is the spot for shoppers who wanted to get in on those Cyber Monday deals, but couldn’t get their WiFi to work or simply forgot. With Target's Cyber Week, there are seven days of sales on everything from apparel to holiday decorations. There are new deals each day, so don't forget to check back. In general, target is also rumored to have markdown patterns that follow a schedule. Deals on clothing, pet items and health products can be found Monday through Wednesday, while housewares, shoes and toys are marked down most on Thursday. Friday is the day to stock up on makeup and other cosmetics. For those who already want to get a head start on next year's gifting, be on the look for Target's One-Day Sale, which made its debut in July 2018.

Costco

According to in-store employees, Monday, especially in the morning, is the best day to shop at Costco. If you're looking to save as much money as possible, there's an added benefit to heading straight to the middle of the store, as the "center court" is where many of the best deals are located. If an item you purchased goes on sale less than 30 days after you bought it, Costco will refund you the difference in prices. In addition to members-only markdowns offered through December 24th, Costco is advertising "12 Days of Deals" that last until December 11th so shoppers can snag limited-time promotions.

Amazon

Amazon is a hotbed of deals around the holidays, but strategic shoppers would be wise to plan particular gift purchases around the "12 Days of Deals" schedule. From December 2–13, markdowns are placed on certain categories to help you check off those final items on your list. Sundays are best for buying home improvement, tools, beauty and personal care; Mondays are good for gaming and electronics; Tuesdays are ideal for toys and kitchen items; Wednesdays are when to purchase PCs, furniture, lawn and garden supplies; Thursdays are the time for home, sports and outdoor gifts; Friday is for fashion; and Saturday is your best shot for baby, pets and camera gear.

Kohl's

Target isn't the only retailer celebrating an entire Cyber Week, Kohl's is also holding an extended promotion offering deals on a wide variety of products like ASICS sneakers, Keurig coffee makers, Dyson vacuums and Lauren Conrad sheet sets. If you're looking to make a big purchase and don't have to present the gift until January, wait until the end of December when your Yes2You points are converted to “cash” or reward certificates — it will take the sting out of paying for that pricey gadget you've had your eye on. Shoppers over the age of 60 can benefit from an additional 15% off when they shop in stores on Wednesdays.

Sears/Kmart

With Sears' "Dashing through the Deals" campaign offering savings on brands like Kenmore, Craftsman, and Levis, you'll have until Christmas Eve to pick up the appliances, tools, and clothes on your list. For the kids and young of heart, there's Kmart's "Holly Jolly Savings, Yule Love It" promotion that'll make it easier on your wallet to celebrate the holidays with Barbie and Hot Wheels.

Walmart

Black Friday is Walmart's big day, but that doesn't mean you can't cash in on its rolled-back prices in-store and online throughout Cyber Week, when orders of $35 of more are eligible for free two-day shipping. Beyond that, shoppers can take advantage of Walmart's "20 Days of Deals" through December 20th, with markdowns on items like Coleman grills, Samsung televisions, Ninja blenders and more.

T.J. Maxx

You don't have to be a Maxxinista to know that T.J. Maxx is offering free shipping on all online orders this holiday season, but true insiders will tell you that Wednesday is the best day to shop there, as that's typically when markdowns on items are made.

Best Buy

Best Buy is another retailer that tends to focus on Black Friday and Cyber Monday when it comes to offering big-time savings, but don't forget to check on the store's "20 Days of Doorbusters," running December 1–20, offering 24-hour deals on select items including smart TVs, laptops, printers and beyond. If you're getting ahead of your holiday gifting, Best Buy holds seasonal sales for certain appliances, plus laptops and other study aids are often discounted during the "Back-to-School" portion of the summer. The week before the Super Bowl often has great deals on televisions, and September and October are thought to be the best time to buy on a budget, as that's usually when brands are releasing new models.
