One of the easiest ways to elevate the look of your home without going through a remodel is by refreshing it with a coat of paint. But with so many colors to choose from, how do you select one that's right for you, while still staying up to date with today's trends? Sherwin Williams just made the choice easier: The paint brand has announced its 2023 color of the year, Redend Point, a mid-tone neutral that walks the line between blush and beige.
The color is a new-age neutral that aims to bring nature indoors—and it's versatile enough to complement a range of décor styles and furnishing choices. And while it can serve as a grounding anchor in a room, Redend Point feels cozier and more inviting than traditional white or eggshell, making it the ultimate choice for people who love the classics, but are craving something new.
"Redend Point was inspired by the idea of finding beauty beyond ourselves. It is a heartening hue that invites compassion and connection into any space," said Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams in a press release. "The color is a natural choice for those looking for a warm and joyful neutral in both interiors and exteriors. I can't wait to see how consumers play with it and style their spaces."

Doing so is easy, thanks to Redend Point's subtle pink undertones; these notes blend well with a mix of shades, especially those that feel nature-derived. "Build on its earthiness by utilizing the hue alongside natural-looking textiles and wood accents—or create a desert oasis by layering terra-cotta shades and clay materials," says Wadden.
The color is part of Sherwin Williams' colormix forecast, which features 40 trending colors across four curated palettes that are all inspired by the natural interweaving of people and their spaces. In the coming year, the brand expects to see more shades like Redend Point—include natural clays, sunbaked sands, restful neutrals, and powdery pastels—dominate design trend reports.
