Shenae Grimes-Beech is giving fans an update on her "weaning sitch."

On Thursday, the 32-year-old actress took to her Instagram story to share an honest message about motherhood and her weaning journey with her 11-month-old son, Kingsley Taylor.

The "90210" alum and her beau, Josh Beech, also share a daughter, Bowie Scarlett, 3.

"In other news, lots of folks asking about an update on the weaning sitch so here goes! We are down to a bedtime feed only but it's a quickie because my milk is nearly gone so I just end up rocking him to sleep, which has been the most emotional but finally empowering experiencem" she said. "I think we've turned a corner."

The former "Degrassi: The Next Generation" star went on to explain how although the weaning process is looking up, it wasn't without its roadblocks.

"When we first started this gradual weaning journey, I felt guilty hearing him cry at all for the boob and helpless as I rocked and comforted him for what felt like forever without caving before he finally nodded off. I started to question the strength of our bond and whether or not I was doing the right thing at the right time. I even thought about pulling out of my upcoming movie project," she said. "But last night, he fed for two minutes, I closed up shop, he whimpered a bit and went off to sleep with no trouble. He is no longer fighting me to search for what's no longer offered. What a relief."

Grimes further revealed that this latest development is allowing her to be more at peace and confident within herself.

"It felt so good, almost liberating to be able to comfort him and get him off to sleep without having to whip a boob out. I am no longer his human pacifier but I can still be his go-to person for cuddles and comfort, something I've felt a bit heartbroken about as I've self-doubted along this journey. I'm really glad I've decided to do this as gradually as I have because it's eased us through this emotional rollercoaster and kept engorgement and mastitis at bay with zero issues at all!"

The Grimes-Beech clan is currently touring across Canada in an RV.

In an Instagram post earlier this week, the actress shared an adorable photo of her and her family announcing the Canadian adventure.

"Josh and I are making our nomadic hearts’ dream come true as we pack up our little family of four and move into a 24’ RV for our first long haul journey to Canada and back!" she wrote in the caption.

Grimes and her husband posted a 15 minute vlog on her YouTube channel highlighting the beginning of their trek, which can be viewed here.
