Throughout the initial episodes there's one song that is constantly referenced to or seen playing in the series called 'Shelter'. But is 'Shelter' a real song? Here's everything you need to know.

What's the significance of the song 'Shelter' in the Harlan Coben series?

Given the entire series is called Harlan Coben's Shelter, we reckon the song 'Shelter' is going to have some important meaning during the eight-part series, but what that exact meaning is right now, we're not too sure on.

The first time we hear the song 'Shelter' by a band called '34 and Out' is during episode one when Mickey, his dad and mum are driving home from a day at the beach and it's playing in the car. The family are singing along to the song until their car crashes into another, instantly killing Mickey's dad.

The song and the butterfly emblem on the album cover are then seen repeatedly throughout the series, with Mickey hearing the song whilst investigating Bat Lady's house.
