Sheer Garments Were a Street Style Hit on Day 5 of London Fashion Week
The daring trend is back.
The fashion across the pond has been pretty transparent: From see-through tutus at Molly Goddard to sheer smocks at Simona Rocha, we've quite literally seen it all. Sheer garments were also spotted off the runway on the final day of London Fashion Week, when several showgoers gave their intimates the X-ray treatment.
It's a bold trend for sure, but not everyone who opted for sheer ensembles bared it all. This crop of fashionable guests flaunted their underpinnings tastefully — a full-coverage black bra under a see-through puff-sleeve polka-dot blouse, for example, or a white tank and shorts combo under a sheer peach jumpsuit. One attendee wore a matching black halter bralette and high-waisted underwear duo under a sheer ruffle-embellished dress for an ultra feminine look, and another paired silk pants with a see-through feather-trimmed robe for a look that was just as laid-back as it was chic.
