As She Turns 58, Linda Evangelista’s Greatest Beauty Moments

Few models are as celebrated as Linda Evangelista. One of the original ’90s supers, she once famously quipped that she wouldn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000, but has nonetheless appeared on over 700 magazine covers in her time – the last of which was British Vogue’s September 2022 issue, for which she was shot by her longtime collaborator, Steven Meisel.

A revered beauty chameleon – Linda has always been willing to experiment with make-up and hair to get the shot—she is the queen of the short hairstyle, having had a dramatic and career-transforming cut in 1988 on the suggestion of photographer Peter Lindbergh. Thereafter, the ultra-short style was nicknamed “The Linda” and has spawned countless imitations in the years since— pro hairstylists still reference it today.
