The “Pretty Little Liars” star swapped heels for slippers, which the couple provided, at a recent wedding reception in Italy.

Enter Shay Mitchell, who just shared an easy solution: In an Instagram post that the Pretty Little Liars alum shared with her followers on September 6, 2023, she explained how she stayed comfortable while attending a recent wedding: “Wedding tip: slippers are a must,” she wrote.

Mitchell’s caption refers to the first image in the carousel that she uploaded, which shows the actress wearing a red strapless gown with a figure-hugging silhouette and feathers draped across the bodice from the label The New Arrivals by İlkyaz Özel. In the picture, she’s ascending a staircase while wearing slippers and holding a pair of transparent heels in her hand. It appears that the star replaced her stilettos with a more comfortable pair of shoes that the couple, Sarah and Navid, provided to accommodate a night of dancing at the reception. In a later photo, Mitchell shared a close-up shot of the slippers, which were monogrammed with the couple’s joint initials, “NS.” Couples who want a packed dance floor and guests who want to party with ease, take note—fold-up slippers might be worth providing or bringing along, just in case.

In her caption, the actress also congratulated the newlyweds on their “beautiful celebration of ❤️.” She then thanked them for “giving me a place to wear this dress to” before adding “Jk. One photo of the ceremony showcased the outdoor garden ceremony, where guests sat on white chairs lined with a hedge of white roses and greenery. Mitchell also provided a closer look at her wedding guest dress, which she paired with sunglasses, gold hoops, and a gold bracelet.

The carousel also shared some of the reception's details and highlights, including the bride and groom's first dance; the image shows Sarah in a lace ball gown and Navid in black dress pants, suspenders, and a white button-down shirt. In the background, guests watch on from tables engulfed in white linens and topped with tall centerpieces composed of greenery and lucite candelabras. Another picture of Mitchell hitting the dance floor with her fellow wedding guests proved that this was definitely a fun night.

In the comments section, many friends and fans alike affirmed Mitchell’s shoe choice. “I support slipper lyfe 4 lyfe,” fellow actress Nina Dobrev wrote.
