Shay Mitchell Gave Her Baby the Cutest Travel-inspired Name
Over the last few years, actress Shay Mitchell has added a few new titles to her resume. Mitchell became a travel blogger, founded her own luggage line, and now, she's added another life-changing title — mom.
In October, Mitchell gave birth to a beautiful baby girl alongside her longtime beau, Matte Babel. The couple shared the entire journey on Mitchell’s wildly popular YouTube page. However, the one thing they kept secret was their little girl’s name — until now. And it clearly shows off Mitchell’s love of traveling the globe.

“Atlas Noa, in my 32 years of life I thought I had seen a lot of places, experienced a lot of things, met a lot of people and felt love...then came you,” Mitchell wrote in an Instagram caption announcing her baby’s name. “Truth is I had no idea I was capable of loving anything like this before you arrived. You wonder if that’s just something people say, but it’s as if the chemical makeup of my entire body and soul changed the minute we met.”

Mitchell told Vogue that the name was actually inspired by a friend.
"A close friend of ours was listing off names for her daughter that she had had a year and a half ago. Then she said Atlas and I looked at Matte, and he looked at me, and I was like, 'Oh my gosh!'," Mitchell said. “It’s just the perfect name; from that day, we knew it was going to be Atlas. People would ask us, ‘Do you have a name?’ But we were keeping it hidden. I’m sorry to everybody that I lied to!”
No word yet on where Mitchell will take Atlas for her first vacation, but we can only assume the little one will go somewhere fabulous with some seriously stylish luggage in tow.
