Shay Mitchell appears to come out as bisexual in TikTok video

Actress Shay Mitchell appears to have come out as bisexual in a new TikTok video, and fans *think* the clip is delivering a not-so-subtle message.
The Pretty Little Liars and You star took to the video-sharing platform to duet a post asking, "If you identify as bisexual... do you own a green velvet couch?" Shay filmed herself alongside the original post and, although she stays silent during the clip, she does make a point of flopping down onto (you guessed it) a green velvet couch.
A second person stitching the original video (also sitting on a green couch) can then be heard saying, "I love knowing nothing about my life is original, you know?"
While Shay, 35, didn't add a caption to her post, fans are taking her silent green couch moment as a pretty huge nod towards how she identifies.
One follower commented, "Are you saying what I think you’re saying!?!?!" while another added, "Is this what I think it is, a win?! 🥹."
Shay has implied that she's open to dating people of all genders over the years, though this appears to be the first time she's directly referenced being bisexual. Have a watch here:
Back in 2017, Shay discussed her queer Pretty Little Liars character, Emily Fields, in an interview with Maxim. She explained, "People always ask me, 'You play a gay character? Are you gay? Are you straight? Are you this? Are you that?'"
In response, the actress shared, "Look, Emily doesn't label herself, and I don't label myself either. I fall in love with the spirit of somebody. Love is love, and that's something that I'll keep saying."
Later, in 2020, Shay shared a video to her YouTube channel alongside PLL co-star Ian Harding, in which Ian asked when she was last attracted to a woman. Shay replied, "Wow. Every day. For me, it’s never been 'I need to find a boyfriend, I need to find this.'"
The actress went on, "I truly feel like I do fall in love with a person. I liked the fact that I played Emily and I liked the fact that I played Peach [Salinger, in You]. I’m honestly more intrigued by women than I am by men."
Shay and boyfriend Matte Babel have been together since 2017, sharing two children: Atlas, two, and Rome, who they welcomed in May 2022.
