Shaquem Griffin's incredible NFL scouting combine continues with record-breaking 40-yard dash

There shouldn’t be any Shaquem Griffin doubters remaining, but just in case the linebacker is using every opportunity to silence his critics.

On Saturday at the NFL scouting combine, the amputee from UCF wowed scouts by putting up 20 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. For his next trick on Sunday he set the fastest 40-yard dash by linebacker — destroying the rest of the field with a time of 4.38 seconds.

Stunning doesn’t begin to describe what we’re seeing from Griffin, who has captivated the the pro football world.

It’s time to stop talking about what Griffin can’t do because apparently there isn’t much at all on that list. Instead let’s look at what Griffin is, a natural athlete who deserves a shot at playing alongside the best football has to offer.

To be fair, we didn’t need a combine to tell us that.
