Shannen Doherty Just Shared That Cancer Has Spread To Her Brain In An Emotional Video

Shannen Doherty is updating fans on her cancer treatment.

In emotional videos shared on Instagram, Shannen revealed that the cancer has unfortunately spread to her brain, and she's been undergoing treatments since January.

Shannen's first video showed her as she was fitted for a mask, which is worn while receiving radiation therapy.

"On January 5th, my ct scan showed Mets in my brain," she wrote. "Yesterdays video was showing the process of getting fitted for the mask, which you wear during radiation to your brain."

Then, in a second video, Shannen could be seen tearing up while undergoing part of her treatment.

"January 12, the first round of radiation took place. My fear is obvious," she added. "I am extremely claustrophobic, and there was a lot going on in my life."

Shannen went on to say that she's been "fortunate" to be under the care of the great doctors and techs at Cedars-Sinai hospital, including Dr. Amin Mirhadi.

"But that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like," she candidly shared.

Shannen was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 but announced that she was in remission in 2017. Unfortunately, the cancer returned, and in February 2020, she shared that she was dealing with stage 4 breast cancer.

Back in March, while Shannen was a few months into her brain cancer treatment, she told fans at '90s Con that she was "feeling great."

Shannen hasn't yet shared the next steps in her treatment, but hoping she continues to feel good moving forward.
