Shania Twain's 'bold' new look has fans divided: 'Little Mermaid vibes'
The Canadian country star unveiled her latest experimental look in a new photoshoot.
Shania Twain is channeling "The Little Mermaid."
On Thursday, the Canadian country music icon took to Instagram to share a carousel of snaps from a recent photoshoot for Rollacoaster Magazine, debuting a "bold" new hair colour.
In the photos, the 57-year-old posed in a chartreuse dress with matching stiletto mules, as well as an olive green maxi dress, and a black body-con dress. She paired each outfit with long, vibrant red hair and a soft glam makeup look.
"I have always enjoyed playing with fashion and the shoot for [Rollacoaster Magazine] was no exception!" she captioned the post before thanking and tagging the photographer, designers, makeup artist and stylist responsible for the final look. "Thank you to the wonderful team who put this together."
In the comments, fans were divided over Twain's new look.
"Sorry, not into the red hair!" an Instagram user commented, while another wrote, "That is not my Shania Twain. Sorry."
"Guess I'm just old-fashioned, but I prefer the natural look," someone else added.
"Not a good look. Please hire a new stylist," one person shared.
Others weighed in with praise for Twain taking "beauty risks."
"It's giving 'The Little Mermaid' vibes. I think it's so cute that you're taking all these fashion and beauty risks and trying to shake things up. Keep doing your thing and forget the haters!" a fan commented.
"Gorgeous. It's great seeing you have fun with fashion and doing your own thing!" added another.
An Instagram user penned: "Love everything you're doing!"
"True Shania fans know she has always dressed to the song, time, or place," someone pointed out. "Iconic beauty."
Last month, the "Any Man Of Mine" singer shocked fans with another daring look when she made an appearance on "The Late Late Show With James Corden."
In the clip shared to Instagram, Twain was seen rocking long blonde hair in celebration of her sixth studio album, "Queen Of Me."
"Let’s f%#$ing go, girls!" she cleverly penned in the caption, referencing her song "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!"
