Shania Twain takes 'a trip down memory lane' in new throwback post: 'Legend'
Shania Twain is throwing it back to the '80s.
On Thursday, the 57-year-old took to Instagram to share a series of photos taken when she was a 20-year-old rising star in the 1980s.
In the first shot, the Canadian songwriter wore a red sweater and white pants. She spread her arms wide while posing beside a white wall with "The Twain Dream" painted in red block letters.
In the second snap, the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" singer is pictured with her fluffy hair swept to one side. She donned a strapless white ruffled mini dress and long black gloves.
In the remaining photos, Twain smiled with three friends and posed for a stunning headshot.
"A trip down memory lane... the '80s to be specific! That hair!" Twain quipped in her caption, referencing her puffy hairstyle.
In the comments, fans raved over the throwback photos and noted the artist's beauty.
"Awesome, Shania. Love it and always enjoy," a fan wrote with several red heart emojis.
"You deserve it all. You continue to inspire daily and I'm so grateful and blessed to know you!" penned another.
"Love this," someone added. "Big hair = big goals! Queen."
"You were a whole vibe then, and still to this day! We are sending you love from northern Ontario," someone else shared.
"Ah, stunning then and stunning now," raved a fan. "Obsessed with the look, and the hair is everything."
"Beauty, so pretty. But you are living proof age does not lessen a beautiful woman but actually improves her," another commented.
This isn't the first time that Twain has posted a throwback. In August, the "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" singer took to TikTok to hop on the "teenage dirtbag" trend.
In the clip, the Windsor, Ont.-born artist started by wiping down her kitchen countertop. Then, five old photos of Twain as a teenager — two portraits, one performing on stage and a few hanging out with friends — appeared on the screen.
"The hair!" Twain captioned her post with a heart eye emoji.
More than 7.5 million TikTok users viewed the clip.
"Always an icon," TikTok Canada's official account commented.
"Still one of the most beautiful women in the [world]," another replied alongside a globe emoji.
