Seth Rogen Looks Unrecognizable After Shaving His Beard for 'Pam and Tommy'
Hulu's upcoming miniseries Pam and Tommy garnered widespread attention last week when first-look set photos of actors Sebastian Stan and Lily James went viral for their uncanny resemblance to Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and actress Pamela Anderson. The show may have saved its most surprising transformation for last, however, revealing a clean-shaven—and glasses-free—photo of actor Seth Rogen this week.
Rogen, 39, is set to play Rand Gauthier, a former electrician and porn star who stole the couples' sex tape and released it publicly, leading to what is widely regarded as the first "viral video." In a gallery of photos shared to his Instagram account, the actor is shown rocking a shaggy mullet while decked out in '90s-era cutoff jean shorts, a striped shirt, and white tube shorts.
A second selfie shows him modeling yet another throwback getup, sporting a red and black jacket and vintage stonewashed jeans. Gone is the iconic beard, replaced with just a few days' stubble, making him look nearly unrecognizable. "My co-stars @imsebastianstan and @lilyjamesofficial are a lot cooler than I am," he joked in the post's caption.
In the comments, fans—as well as Rogen's fellow co-stars—praised the new look and expressed surprise over the dramatic reveal. As one commenter put it, “The f— am I looking at? Is that you Seth??? That’s a different person I swear." Actress Sharon Stone added, "You are super cool and i want to work w you dude 👏👏👏."
According to Hulu, Pam and Tommy "follows the story of their relationship going back to their whirlwind romance that started with them marrying after only knowing each other for 96 hours in 1995." The series does not yet have a confirmed release date, but is expected to arrive later this year.
