Serena Williams' Longtime Coach Sweetly Wishes Her a 'Very Happy Wedding' Day on Instagram

Serena Williams’ longtime coach took to social media on Thursday to wish the tennis legend the best on her wedding to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
“@Serenawilliams I send you all my positive feelings for that very special day,” Patrick Mouratoglou captioned an Instagram photo of the soon-to-be-married couple. “I wish you a very happy wedding, a fantastic party and a full life of happiness with @alexisohanian.”
Williams is expected to marry Ohanian in a lavish New Orleans wedding Thursday evening in front of celebrity guests including Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian. The nuptials come one day after a star-studded rehearsal dinner held at celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse‘s restaurant Meril, with guests including Eva Longoria and Colton Haynes.

Mouratoglou, 47, has been Williams’ tennis coach since September 2012, after she experienced her first ever opening round loss in a Grand Slam tournament at the French Open that year. Since taking over, Mouratoglou has helped Williams attain three more Wimbledon titles, two Olympic gold medals, three more US Open titles and two more French Open titles (to name a few), further solidifying her already impressive legacy.
“I don’t think she’s changed me or I’ve changed her,” Mouratoglou, from Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, told CNN in August. “When you’re with Serena you have a lot of exposure, people look at you different, probably. I’m not saying that they should, but it’s a normal process.”
Williams announced last month that she will make her competitive comeback to tennis next January to defend her title at the Australian Open, the same tournament in which she beat her sister Venus in the final while pregnant.
“I know she will surprise me in the future. I know that coming back to win a Grand Slam after having a baby, at 36 years old, is a huge, huge bet,” Mouratoglou said in a recent interview with Sky Sports Italy. “So I am sure she will surprise me once again.”
