Serbian Former Pro Athlete Ana Ivanovic Posed in a Tennis Ball Pit for Her SI Swim Photoshoot

Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2010. The former World No. 1-ranked tennis player was photographed by Marlena Bielinska in a New York City studio in a variety of pink and yellow looks. She even snapped a series of pics in the midst of a baby pink tennis ball pit.

“I feel like a different person out there,” she said at the time. “You know, the attitude to pose in certain positions and I just tried to feel as comfortable as I can.”

The 35-year-old won the French Open in 2008 and represented her country at the London Olympics in 2012 and in Rio in ’16. The 15-time WTA singles winner and Grand Slam champion officially retired from the sport in 2016.

“It’s never easy to step back from something you love, but I wanted it to remain my love rather than something that I have to do or end up despising because it hurt,” she said about her struggles with injuries and decision to leave the sport. “I’m really happy with the career I’ve had. Now it’s time to try different things.”

The mom of two shares her young sons Luka and Leon with her husband, Bastian Schweinsteiger. The couple welcomed a third child, a boy, earlier this year. She is the founder of health, beauty and skincare brand Ana Natural Performance, which she launched last year, as well as an ambassador for Unicef, BRAX and Rolex.
