'Empire' star Serayah swears by this $7 beauty product to keep her skin cool on hot days

If you’re anything like the beauty editors at Yahoo Lifestyle, then you try to avoid going outside when it’s sweltering hot. But, of course, we must face the heat in the summer when heading to the office, drugstore or other stops on our daily commute. So it’s absolutely imperative that we keep beauty products within hand’s reach to maintain our cool.

“Empire” star Serayah can totally relate to this warm-weather struggle. Her secret to cooling down her skin: Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater ($7).

Serayah, who recently dropped a new music single called “Love It,” mists on this cult-favorite beauty product whenever she’s “feeling hot, sticky.” She explains, “I’ll just spray a couple of sprays and I’ll feel refreshed and back to it.”

There’s also some pretty amazing health benefits to using rosewater spray. Chock full of antioxidants and vitamin C, it works to hydrate and soothe skin while also reducing inflammation. Doctors also highly recommend spritzing on rosewater because it’s an antibacterial that balances the skin’s pH to reduce acne, eczema and rashes. We also find that it works wonders on sunburns!
