Selma Blair has been sharing consistent updates about her experiences as a mom with multiple sclerosis on social media. The actress, 46, who revealed her diagnosis at the end of last year, has posted many heartbreaking photos and videos since.

However, in her latest Instagram update, the image and Selma's caption are decidedly upbeat. In the photo, Selma is standing next to her Alinker, a pedal-less walking bike. The room around her is bright and she's smiling. Selma is also sporting a new bald look after her son Arthur Saint Bleick helped her cut her hair recently.

"Today is a banner day," she began in the caption." I am being discharged from the care of an incredible team of nurses and techs and a visionary Dr. who believes in my healing as much as I do. This has been a process. And will continue to be one. I am immunocompromised for next three months at least. So no kisses please."

Selma didn't reveal further details about her treatment, or what type of results she's expecting to see. "I wanted to make sure all complications here were my private space," she writes. "And we got through brilliantly. I thank you all for your love and support and that extra dose of great with a @people cover."

Selma also hinted at a change in her perspective post-treatment. "I see things so much more clearly now. And I am excited to share this journey when I am ready. For now, I have recovery. And a great @the_alinker_world so I gotta split. Bye!!!!!! This is the best gift I could give to Arthur. #newimmunesystem#whodis? 🎂"

A great gift indeed, Selma!
