NYFW: Self-Portrait Spring 2019 puts a fresh spotlight on mixed prints

After seeing the latest collection from Self-Portrait, we always experience a new wave of inspiration to take bigger risks when it comes to fashion.

Han Chong, the designer behind Self-Portrait, debuted his Spring 2019 collection on Saturday morning in New York City. Chock full of lace dresses with eye-catching cut-outs, crochet pieces that were both sexy and modest and florals that didn't take themselves too seriously, the collection came across as playful and stayed away from feeling too precious.

Mixed prints (think both floral and geometric), detailed sleeves and asymmetrical necklines also made their way down the runway in varying shades of blue, pink and yellow, while the crew of models all sported slicked back hairstyles and minimal makeup.

The front row was unsurprisingly stocked with some of fashion's favorite influencers and bloggers, including Olivia Palermo, Aimee Song, Danielle Bernstein and Caroline Daur.
