What Selena Gomez's 27th Birthday Was Like: A Trip to Rome Full of Friends and Tiramisu
Selena Gomez spent her Friday night on maid of honor duty for her cousin Priscilla DeLeon's wedding. But Gomez didn't remain in Texas for her 27th birthday yesterday. The actress jetted over to Italy for a birthday vacation. Gomez was photographed in Rome, wearing a tiered mint dress. She had lunch at Pierluigi and was seen walking with some friends, film producer Andrea Iervolino, and her grandmother Debbie Jean Gibson.
Iervolino and Gomez have vacationed in Italy together before. Last year, when Gomez went with her Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie, Iervolino joined them. The producer also went to the yacht party Gomez had last year for her 26th birthday after the group's Italy trip.
Gomez and Iervolino are just friends. As E! reported this weekend, Gomez is currently single. She is "open to start putting herself out there again," a source told the outlet. "She is taking everything day by day and focusing on herself and her music."
E! got some details on Gomez's birthday lunch last night—specifically about what they ate. "Selena arrived for lunch with a group of friends," a source told the outlet. "The table shared several dishes such as raw fish, tagliatelle with lobster, pasta with vodka sauce and various salads."
The group was in good spirits, the source added, and it was a relatively low-key birthday lunch: "They were chatting and laughing the entire time. No candles, cards or cake, but they did have dessert of ice cream and tiramisu."
