Selena Gomez Went to a ’90s Prom Party Last Night and Crushed the Theme

Selena Gomez pulled out all the stops for her friend Julia Michaels's '90s-themed prom party on Sunday night. The "Look at Her Now" singer styled her hair and wore a dress that perfectly fit the occasion. Sadly, we don't have a ton of photos from the fun bash, but Gomez and company did drop a few posts on social media.

"90s night..." Gomez captioned a photo on her Instagram Story, which showed off her wispy She's All That-adjacent updo. Her friend Raquelle Stevens posted a photo of Gomez's dress, which was equally just as retro (in the best way possible): black, mid-length with spaghetti straps, and some chunky black shoes to match. Did we just get transported back in time to the set of Clueless? It certainly feels like it.

Check out the photos for yourself, below. (Michaels, if you don't know, is one of Gomez's longtime musical collaborators, having worked with her most recently on "Lose You to Love Me" and "Look at Her Now.")

It's been a busy few weeks for Selena Gomez. The songs I just mentioned are the pop star's official foray back into music—and they've both been well-received. "Lose You to Love Me," in fact, just reached number one on Billboard's Hot 100, Gomez's first song to ever do so.

"My first number 1!! This song is so dear to my heart," Gomez wrote on Instagram a few days ago in reference to the milestone. "I’ve been working so hard to make this album as honest and fun as possible while remaining vulnerable enough to share where I am in life. I love you deeply and thank you so much for listening. I want to thank each and every person that was apart of this moment that I’ll never forget!"

"Look at Her Now" is also finding some commercial success: It's currently sitting at number 27 on the Hot 100 chart.
