Selena Gomez is super talented and has an amazing sense of style, and she always gives us #hairgoals, too. And now is no different. Selena Gomez has a new, shorter haircut, reported Brit + Co, and we’re ob-sessed.
With 2017 right around the corner — how did that happen so fast?! — it’s a perfect time for a new look. After all, people are already making new goals and New Year’s resolutions, so out with the old and in with the new, right?
Speaking of new things, ICYMI, Selena recently broke an Instagram record and reached 100 million followers. W-o-w, right?!
But we didn’t see her new hair posted there. Instead, we saw it through songwriter Justin Tranter’s IG account.

I know, you may be wondering where Selena’s been lately.
You may remember that she took some time off earlier this year. She had been suffering from depression and anxiety around her Lupus diagnosis. You may also remember Selena’s heartbreaking speech at the American Music Awards in November — where she won for “Favorite Female Artist” in the Pop/Rock category, nbd.
“…I think it’s safe to say that all of you know my life whether I like it or not,” Selena said, reported Vulture. “I had to stop because I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside. I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down…”
Awww. We love how honest she was. Plus, many of us can probably relate to not always being the happiest, best versions of ourselves that we know we’re meant to be.
It seems like Selena’s back in business now, so to speak, and we’re so glad. She continues to impress us with her music — we still have “Trust Nobody” on a loop in our heads. Whether it’s her songs or her hair, Selena still blows us away.
Speaking of which, brb — we need to call our hair stylists…
