Selena Gomez shaved part of head: See her new look

When Selena Gomez, one of the most followed people on Instagram, debuts a new look, people notice. That’s true even when the new look isn’t an earth-shattering change.

In Gomez’s case, the new look is an undercut for her signature brunette tresses, which she showed off under a lengthy, braided ponytail. She called it a “subtle change,” and it is, compared to when she wore her hair blond.

A few of her 136 million followers noted that the look is similar to one that Ariana Grande has rocked before, but most of them were supportive.

She shared the photo of her new ’do hours after posting that she was in Germany to meet with the Puma team. Gomez, 25, designed a sneaker for the brand released last month.

Gomez has been in somewhat of a transition mode — between her health struggles, her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, and drama over new music from another ex, the Weeknd — which makes it the perfect time for a haircut.

Although, Gomez herself noted in June 2015 that her inner feelings about herself are the most important thing to her.

“It’s about being strong, which means being comfortable with who I am,” she told Elle. “I think women, especially my age, can relate. You’re figuring out who you are, and there are so many different levels of emotions that you go through. The best is when you feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable with yourself.”
