Selena Gomez and Niall Horan Were Photographed Together
It’s been years since dating rumors began swirling around Niall Horan and Selena Gomez, but the speculation of a romance between the two singers has lingered to this day. The most recent piece of “evidence” involves a group photo on Instagram showing Niall with his arm around Selena — and it’s enough to send Twitter into a frenzy.
As pointed out by Elle, it all started when Selena and Niall popped up in a group photo on Insta taken after a bunch of their friends got together for dinner. In the black-and-white ‘gram, Niall is seen with his arm around Selena’s shoulders, both singers smiling at the camera.
What’s more, Selena also shouted out Niall’s new song “Nice to Meet Ya” in her IG story, writing: “This came out like 5 min ago…and I’m pretty sure you all need to download.” (She’s not wrong!)
Needless to say, fans quickly noticed both posts and conclusions were definitely made. “Selena gonna end up marrying Niall,” one fan tweeted, while another theorized that they are dating. Hopes are clearly high among the shippers if a photo is enough to jump to wedding bells, tbh.
Of course, it’s really important to note that Niall and Selena posing together for a photo doesn’t constitute dating, and last we checked, promoting someone’s music isn’t the equivalent of a marriage proposal. Nevertheless, it seems as though dating rumors will follow these two wherever they go for the rest of their lives, whether it’s an Instagram comment or an IRL hang. And while the One Direction singer has been quiet on whether or not there’s ever been romance between the two, Selena has denied the gossip with a pretty clear “Oh my god! No.”
Seems like this is another case of “they’re just friends” — until the next Instagram post, that is.
